Fayette County wildlife control tip of the month:

What if a squirrel got inside my house, bedroom, kitchen, etc.

What will you do if there is a wild animal in the house, particularly in your bedroom or kitchen? If you have left the door of your deck open for the cats or dogs to wander in and out of the house after dinner time for pooping, then a raccoon or a squirrel wandering and finding a nesting place may get in and hid in your house. Don’t panic, instead think of something you can do to get rid of the animal without hurting it. Most of the homeowners have committed mistakes because they panic right away upon seeing the squirrel or any other rodent around. You can also call the Fayette County exterminator animal control bureau to give you a hint on what to do next.

1) Don’t panic
The animals do not want to be in your house, more than you want them to be. If you run at the animal using a broom or something you are holding, you will just scare it and there is a Fayette County animal trapping possibility that the animal will bite or attack you as it run away.

2) Do not touch it
No matter how cute the animal is, never touch it. Even if you saw the babies that look harmless and helpless, don’t attempt to touch them with your bare hands.

3) Close the animal in a room
If there is a Fayette County wildlife removal chance to close the room and trap the animal there, you can do that. But you must make sure that there will be no noise as you close the door, so you can trap the animal in the room going to the outside of the house. While the animal is there, you can think of something to do.

4) Open the windows and outside doors
If you will open the windows or the outside doors, it can get out, which is what you want to do.

5) Contain the house pets from the wild animals
If you have cats or dogs at home, contain them in a room, so that they will not be exposed to the wild animals, which can hurt or kill them. If the house is quiet, the animal will more likely to come out in a quiet Fayette County pest control manner too and leave its hiding place.

6) Be patient
Catching the animal will require you to be patient. It will not leave your house right away. It may take a day or 2 to before they leave, since they will look for another Fayette County animal control place where they can stay before they finally leave your place.
